Hattis Law is investigating complaints that AT&T sent spam emails to its own wireless customers.

For example, AT&T sent spam emails to its customers pretending to be important account notices, but when you opened them they were actually ads to sell DirecTV (which AT&T also owned). These emails were sent in 2017 and 2018.

This deceptive practice violates the anti-spam laws of particular states which trigger statutory fines of $500 per email, regardless of whether they were sent by a company to its own customers.

If you were a customer of AT&T wireless in 2017 and 2018, you can search your email for the following search terms to see if you have a claim:

From: att@e.att-mail.com

Subject line: Important AT&T Wireless account notice

If you believe you have such a deceptive spam email sent from AT&T, we would like to hear from you.
